Pullulan

Pullulan is a natural polysaccharide, produced from starch through fermentation process. It provides moisturizing properties and forms a protective layer on the surface of the skin that allows moisture to be absorbed and retained. It is used as an ingredient in beauty and skin care products, as it offers hydration, stabilising and anti-ageing properties. In other words, it creates an immediate lifting sensation, offering firming, lifting of the skin, reduction of relaxation of the skin and wrinkles. It hydrates the skin making it look more youthful and firm.
